About Rivers Mansion
Rivers Mansion is a beautiful piece of Texas History. In 1900, William H Rivers, an early founder of the town of Elgin, moved his family into a home he had been building on a hill overlooking the town. This red brick Victorian mansion stands on 10 acres with breathtaking views of the open country surrounding it.
On the grounds of Rivers Mansion itself there is tons to do. We have many fun activities that you can take advantage of including pickleball, putting green, life size chess board, disc golf, ping-pong, air hockey, billiards, darts, arcade cabinets, pinball, chilling in our 8 person hot-tub, and swimming in our pool with a waterslide!
Rivers Mansion has some amazing spaces to gather, take photos, and relax within the historic building including a two story wrap-around porch, the grand entry, double parlors, a formal dining room, a sunroom with amazing window views, an elegant master bedroom with a fireplace and cozy reading nook. The grounds of Rivers Mansion also has some amazing spaces such as multiple patio spaces, hedge patio, massive covered pool cabana, and beautiful tree filled yards.
Rivers mansion is right around the corner from the quaint downtown of Elgin, TX where you can find some incredible bbq, the Elgin Antique Mall, Coupland Dancehall, and more. Rivers mansion is also only 30 minutes away from downtown Austin where you can find countless amazing places to eat, play, and see.
